Refunds & Returns Policy

Under both State and Commonwealth law, you have specific rights regarding refunds and returns. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). If your purchase experiences a major failure, you are entitled to a replacement or refund. You may also be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if the goods fail to meet acceptable quality standards, provided the issue does not amount to a major failure.

Please read the following carefully to understand your rights and our obligations under this policy:

Refunds and Replacements

Battery Brothers Pty Ltd will provide a refund, replacement, or repair in the following circumstances:

  • The item is faulty or does not meet acceptable quality standards.
  • The item is unsafe.
  • The item is not fit for its intended purpose.
  • The item does not match the description or sample provided.

If the product has a major problem, you can choose between a refund, exchange, or replacement. However, if you simply change your mind, find the product cheaper elsewhere, or no longer want it, we are not required to provide a refund or replacement.

Minor Issues or Non-Major Failures

If the item has a minor issue, we may offer a repair within a reasonable timeframe. If it is not repaired in a reasonable time, you can choose a refund or replacement. In some cases, you may opt to keep the item, and we will compensate you for any decrease in value.

Proof of Purchase

To process a return, please provide proof of purchase (e.g., your receipt). If you cannot provide this, a bank statement showing the transaction or a photo of the receipt may be acceptable. In some cases, your proof of purchase may be retrievable in-store. If there is no clear evidence that the item was purchased from Battery Brothers Pty Ltd, the store may, at its discretion, decide whether to offer a refund or replacement.

Manufacturer Repairs

In certain cases, Battery Brothers Pty Ltd may need to return the product to the manufacturer’s repair agent to determine the nature of the problem. We reserve the right to deny a refund or replacement if the issue is due to misuse or neglect of the product.

Please note that data (such as images, music, settings, and videos) may be lost during the repair process of electronic or electrical products. We recommend backing up any data before returning the product for repair.

Returning Products and Shipping

Due to the nature of the products we sell, shipping returns may not be possible. We ask that you return the product to your local Battery Brothers store. If you are unable to visit the store, please contact your local store, as they may be able to arrange a pick-up, though a call-out fee may apply.

Order Cancellations

Battery Brothers reserves the right to accept or reject any online order before delivery, including due to errors in pricing, specifications, descriptions, images, or stock availability.

Privacy

To process your return, we may request certain personal information in compliance with legislative requirements. If you are returning a product with proof of purchase, you may be asked to sign as authorization of the return transaction. In some cases, a Battery Brothers store may agree to a return without proof of purchase, but this will be at their discretion, and you may be required to provide identification containing your full name.
